Award season is still rocking and rolling, and the 2021 American Music Awards did not leave us wanting. Fashion-wise, the 2021 AMAs red carpet was lit with looks. We’re talking glamorous floor-length gowns in splashy hues, early aughts-inspired getups, lots of sparkle, and a seriously dramatic outfit from the host herself, Cardi B.
Which is your favorite look from the 2021 AMAs?
Olivia Rodrigo
We’re pretty sure Olivia Rodrigo’s shimmery, sheer iridescent David Koma dress would fit right in on the 2001 AMAs red carpet, too. Spaghetti halter, feathery hemline, and all.
Billy Porter
Nobody’s about to rain on Billy Porter’s teal parade. The suit’s by Botter, and can we take a second to acknowledge the finger baubles and chunky platforms?
Cardi B.
Queen of the AMA ball and host with the most, Cardi B., caught all the attention on the red carpet in her curve-hugging Schiaparelli gown, moody black veil, and golden mask and nails.
Winnie Harlow
Warrior princess meets statuesque glamazon. The bejeweled, dripping metal cocktail dress is from Zuhair Murad’s Fall-Winter 2021 Couture Collection.
JoJo
JoJo didn’t hold back on the sex appeal for the 2021 AMAs. The glittering silver gown by Usama Ishtay was cut in all the right places, and we love the high slick pony.
BTS
The entire BTS crew showed up in monochromatic black and gray Louis Vuitton and we are here. for. it.
Machine Gun Kelly & Casie Colson Baker
The father-daughter duo wore custom Ashton Michael on the 2021 American Music Awards red carpet, and we’re loving this sweet moment caught on camera.
Chlöe
Chlöe made jaws drop in an asymmetrical black velvet gown by Monsoori. Yes to the cutouts, stacked silver bracelets, and anklet.
Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny’s 2021 AMAs look was shades of soft seafoam and gray and zero restraint on volume.
Michelle Young
The Bachelorette’s Michelle Young served us some delicious lemon-lime in a knotted satin midi.
Jojo Siwa
We hardly recognized Jojo Siwa on the 2021 AMAs red carpet. The YouTube star dazzled in an off-shoulder black gown with sheer paneling.
Marsai Martin
This slinky number fit Marsai Martin like a dream. Given the chevron for days, there’s no doubt this one was designed by Missoni.
Iann Dior
Iann Dior’s black and red shorts suit, designed by In Raf Simons, was definitely a look that turned heads at the 2021 AMAs.
Becky G
We’re getting Clueless Cher vibes from this purple and black bodycon cutout, designed by Raisa Vanessa.
